Hi,
Unfortunately, it could be either a thermal issue or a ballast one.You need to open the unit and clean all the 4 fans. Check whether they are running. Then you need to clean the filters.
Be advised that this set could be dangerous to work on. You need to take all the precautions before you inspect or replace component.
Let me know, once done so that we could proceed further.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
Thanks for your response!!
Thanks for the additional input, however without looking and diagnosing the TV, it would be hard to tell whether there has been an issue with one of the fans, board, ballast or even lamp. Any one of these could cause the same. You could download the service manual from :-
http://www.nodevice.com/manual/newmans/p...
There is no way to diagnose the lamp. However, you need to inspect the board using a multimeter. The readings are mentioned in the service manual.

They usually have most of the parts in stock and see, if they are willing to help you. Be advised that you need to also ask regarding refund option. There are few companies that would allow you to resend the part, if the problem remains unsolved. Non doubt, they would deduct a certain amount, however you would not be penalized for do it yourself. You seems to be on the right path. Check and let me know, whether they have any such refund option.

I see the big fan on the side and the one on top and side of video board cluster. All three are clean now and running. I hear another fan in the cluster but cannot see it. I also vacuumed the filters as instructed. One more thing, when the tv cuts off, the power button blinks orange and the big fan (6") runs continuously until the tv is unplugged and plugged back in. Thanks.
According to the service manual, the symptoms my tv has means either fan1, fan2, or fan3 of the projection unit has failed. I can verify that fan2 and fan3 both work. That just leaves fan1 inside the projection unit. I can probably get a replacement fan online as I have the model number and specs for it. Or I can replace the projection unit per service manual. Can you tell me where I can get a parts manual for this tv, or know the part number for the projection unit, if needed? And does my deduction make sense to you? Thanks.
At least I got the service manual. Your help was really appreciated. Thanks.
