To my knowledge, Error Code 37 on a Fisher & Paykel machine refers to "drain fault" which could either mean that the drain valve will not open or that the drain pump will not run. The easiest user intervention that could be performed is to check for any blockage/clog at the drain filter, drain pipe, drain pump impeller and drain valve.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Found the drain valve solenoid open circuit on my washer - expect to get a new one tomorrow - hoping it won't burn out ;-)Found the drain valve solenoid open circuit on my washer - expect to get a new one tomorrow - hoping it won't burn out ;-)

Here is the service manual.

I also have a Toshiba AW-9790S, and encountered similar problem. The E2-3 would occur sporadically and halt the washing programme. E2-3 error occurs when the washing machine detects that the lid is not properly seated and locked during the rinse or spin cycles. I took mine apart and resolved my problem by cleaning the contacts for the switches. There are 2 contact switches at the lower right side; 1 for sensing the lid is closed and 1 for sensing that the lid lock is engaged. Both the switches were slightly oxidized which prevented current flow and the sensors from working properly.
CODE U11 The washing machine cannot drain. Check that filter is not blocked or obstructed. Check drain hose is clear of any blockage or obstruction. Check wiring to drain pump (Done only by a Service Technician.) Check drain pump is not defective (Done only by a Service Technician.) Check level sensor or switch (Done only by a Service Technician.) Check wiring to level sensor (Done only by a Service Technician.)
Many Panasonic washing machines seem to have a problem spinning with heavy loads; they become unbalanced and give a U13 "load out of balance" code. Most other brand machines can spin the same "heavy" load with no problem.
Hi - yes theres a few options start it on the final rinse and set your water level to low or auto sense then spin speed (this will add more water to stabilesde the spin cycle)
Could go direct to spin as well but you will need to adjust the clothing proper prior to starting of the cycle..
You may have overloaded your washer. Some washers have a safety trip feature that activates when the motor is overloaded. Try unplugging the washer and removing the clothes. Once you have done this, go ahead and start the washer again. If you that doesn't work, you made need to check if you have blown an internal fuse or call a qualified technician. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Is the machine a FAV6800A or FAV9800A?Do you take the “Sd” error code for high level of suds?If we are talking about a FAV6800A or FAV99800A and the series is 12 or more you have a 2 level sensing pressure switch. This will give you about 3.5” for mid fill and 7” for high fill.I have only seen the Bulky wash cycle fill to High level fill. Are you using HE detergent and the amounts called for in Use & Care section of the FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service Manual ? If you have a series 10 thru 12 FAV6800A you will have 3 Level pressures switch sensing.Disregard the Low Fill setting IMOP it doesn’t put enough water in the machine for adequate wash.I believe that is why Maytag did away with it and went to 2 level sensing pressure switch in later series…………Rich
1st, unplug the washer from receptacle. Wait one minute and replug. This will (in many cases) reset the logic board because of some fault it sensed while the machine was running. Now try the machine to see if it operates normally. If still not working, look in your instruction manual to see if there is a section that shows problem (fault) code letters. Some manuals show this info and some do not. If you see a trouble shooting section, it ma y have this info. See what fault code letters match waht flashes on the machine.
Most codes are for imbalanced load while spinning, water inlet valve interuption, overload of machine (too much clothes), power interuption (temporary loss of power while operating, overfill of water level (again usually do to too much clothes or too much detergent suds), a backup of discharge water. If disconnecting power & reconnecting does not reset the machine, check each of the possible problems mentioned. If still no results, you need a service tech visit. Good luck. Macgivor
H2O is the symbol for WATER and probably indicates a WATER related fault on your machine. A pressure switch is the normal way the machines 'sense' when the level is sufficient. Overfilling suggests a faulty switch, which will need to be replaced by a technician. Also, ensure that the machine drains as it should, if not, the pump filter may be blocked.
Hi, welcome! Code 37 is a "pump blocked error" code. Typically this code is triggered when the machine does not sense a change in the water level when called for. Check for debris caught in the pump, either in the impeller for moving water or in some cases, the external cooling fan impeller (exposed underneath the machine) gets snagged with a piece of fabric softener sheet (such as "bounce") and this will stall the pump and trigger a code 37.
I hope you find this info useful and thanks for using Fixya.
