When the water goes to fill the ice tray it all leaks out of the water inlet instead of going into ice maker... it is a roper RS22AQXKQ... this is a new trick and that my wife really did not appreciate and she says to figure it out... lol ,,, i wish it was that simple for me so any assistance would be appreciated.. ty

Could be that the supply tube is frozen inside the freezer compartment, so the water is finding its way out of of the inlet line. Try thawing the supply tube with a hair dryer.
The primary cause of frozen supply tubes is either 1) a leaky water valve that allows water to keep dripping into the supply line even when the valve is shut -- or -- 2) a restricted airflow to the back of the fridge, usually caused by an accumulation of dirt around the base of unit. First check under the fridge - if it's filthy (as many often are) clean it well with a vaccuum cleaner. Then thaw the supply tube and see if that fixes it. If not, you'll need to check the supply valve. Not hard, but beyond the scope of this reply. Check out this link http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/icemaker/diagicemaker.php

most times I see the tray and fill tube ice up its due to a leaky fill valve , this valve should close tight after filling tray , but sometimes they leak just slightly then everything freezes up in a block of ice
fill valves on most all units is located in back lower left corner , just follow the water line in the back of unit
It is possible that the half side of your=> 67006531 Water Inlet Valve that controls water to ice maker is leaking like a dripping faucet and causing the problem. Can you see signs that water is flowing from the ice maker fill tube? The fill
The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze blocking the fill tube.. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.
The water inlet valve on the back of the unit where the water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill tube. The valve can leak because of sediment in the water preventing it from closing or low water pressure.

The water inlet valve may be staying open. It's on the back where the water supply is connected. You
can swap the wires on the dual water inlet valve and disconnect the water line
at the valve which goes to the ice maker. When you try the water dispenser the
water will come out there. When you stop the water dispenser, if the water at
the valve doesn't stop, the valve isn't closing so you'll need to replace it.
Was the inlet tube frozen. If so your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking and when the water reaches the freezer it freezes, blocking the inlet tube. Replace the water inlet valve.
You can Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then
try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell
you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

There should be a tube that brings water to your icemaker from the back of the fridge into the icemaker. This tube is frozen with water, or the inlet where this tube feed the icemaker tray is frozen. The result is that water cannot go to the ice maker, and instead, goes over the top of the inlet area.
Verify that this is indeed what is going on.
The fix is to remove the blockage/buildup of ice at the inlet. You may have to detach the icemaker to get to it. Be carefull with electricity! Also be carefull as plastic can break under stress!
The tube may be frozen to the inlet, channel locks can be used to gently twist the tube to break it free.
Good Luck!
