You either have a problem with the house water supply going to the washer and you can remove the hot water hose from the washer, first shut down the water, stick the end of the hose inside the washer and turn the water supply back on,if the water comes out normal then you have a bad water valve on the back of the washer.call your parts store and give them the full model number off of the washer, open the lid, follow it down to the bottom and right under the bottom of the lid you'll see the model number
I am having this problem---how can I find out if the hoses were not installed backwards? There is nothing to indicate whether the hot one should be on the top, or the bottom. of the two.
you can just connect the cold water, set the water temp. to cold and start it,if the water comes out with it on the top you got it right,if it hums and no water you got it wrong and have to shut off the water and move it to the bottom,if both the hot and cold are turned on together stick the hot water hose in the washer and just hook up the cold to work with.whenever you do something, always write down or make a diagram of what you are doing or just wait till you get the replacement part and change it out then so things are still fresh in your mind,it's easy to get into it and then forget,no big deal, let me know how you make out, sorry it took so long to get back to you, this site isn't notifing me when people write back to me
