Samsung LN-T5271F 52 in. LCD Television Logo
Anonymous Posted on Jan 24, 2011

I have a Samsung LNT5265FX\XAA LCD TV. My problem started with color distortion for the first 5 -30 minutes at first. (kinda looks like photo negatives) Problem would go away for months at a time. Now it seems to be all the time. Use to be turning the tv off and the back on would clear it up. Any one have this problem? Ideas?

Thanks for the help. I feel capable of replacing these parts myself. lot of help on utube.
I have read most power supply problems with Samsung involving
faulty capacitors cause the set not to turn on. Haven't read where it causes color distortion also.
My set turns on instantly every time.

You have a power supply problem. Changing four capicitors that look opened up should fix it

Opened tv, no swolen, puffed, or leaking capacitors. Can't see looking at all the other power supply symptoms, how this color problem is related.

I'm not expert but I have the same problem so I just replaced the T-con board and fix the problem. I'm not saying this will help you too, but you can try, that is what I did and works for me, hope this help you.

There is a humming in back of tv.the sound always good but picture doesnt come thru and i get a green screen someetimes blurry with distortion.color wheel or dmd chip or lamp starting to go out

as my experience, the most possible reason should be the color wheel or its photo sensor board.

firstly try to clean its photo sensor board, or have to replace a new wheel.

i just have this wheel, when you need to replace it, contact me freely

I have a samsung LNT5265FX 52 in lcd and when i first power on screed is black but can hear sound then i will leave it on and turn it off then i will get a distorted pic, but if i leave it on for awhile ...

if your tv has more than one input, try switching to the other input. if the source (game console, satellite box, dvd player) has another output try that next. ensure all cables are a snug fit into the correct receptacles

I was watching tv and it wont turn back on its a samsung hcl4715w/xaa!

Prior to failing was the video looking distorted.

If so it may be a convergence short causing the shutdown.

This is a common problem.

Vertical line on LCD TV Panel

Had this same issue on right side of 52" about 1 inch from side but had 3 vertical lines that disappeared after 40 minutes. Have Samsung LNT5265FX/XXA and about 16 months old. LCD Panel itself had to be replaced to fix it, fortunately had extended service plan
