Im new with this...my plastation 3 is asking me for the first time for an encryption key? what is this?

To connect to a WiFi system, you may need 3 pieces of information:
A username
A password
An encryption key
Once you have successfully linked to a WiFi access point then your tablet will remember the settings until told to forget them.
A lot of the time you may only need the encryption key, and if the tablet detects a WiFi access point then if you tap on that in wireless settings then it will either connect automatically or ask you for some sort of code - the encryption key. If this is not entered correctly then it will return an authentication problem/error. In order to connect you have to have this code.

What website? The wireless dongle, what Make, Model? I assume it's a USB connection on the TV? Did it come with the TV? What is asking for the Key? The TV wireless setup? Is your D-Link Secured with a security Key (password)?

The password that is asking you for, is the encryption key. It is the same password your computer uses to connect to the wireless system

If you do not have the password or encryption key

you will need to login to the router (usually with an IP address: 192.168.1.1)

and go into the wireless settings. There you will find the encryption type being used and the encryption key

Hi, There have been some compatibility issues with certain wireless cards. First try (for a short time) to remove any encryption you have set up on your wireless system. If the laptop logs on now, this is the problem I've confronted a few times. Try the different types of encryption that your router provides. If that doesn't work, I'd send the Netgear back (if its under warranty) explaining the problem. If there is no help there, maybe you should get the same model of router as next door. Hope this helps

A disc read error means you will need a new Blu-ray drive. A blu-ray drive can fail to read Blu-ray but play DVD or CD OK. (Or any combination) A new blu-ray drive requires calibration. Contact Sony for the service center you can send it to. www.sony.com

I've looked around and it seems the message indicating that the encryption key needs to be renewed is displayed, update the system software to the latest version. The encryption key will then be automatically renewed.

ok jump on google and type in latest update for ps3, download the update and copy it to a flash drive i.e usb stick and then type into google how to perform ps3 update with flash drive and select the search result that is posted by sony and it will guide you through the rest hope this helped

It would seem the encryption key is specific to the Secure Folder that is on your recorder.
All the other folders should be public access.

So when it requests an encryption key, just type in anything.
It will sternly tell you that this is the incorrect input and then promptly allow you to access most of your folders anyway.

This should be sufficient unless you have vitally important voice recordings that need secure encryption (recording stored in the secure folder), In that case, it's time to Pay The Man.
