if no any power indicator at the front panel, check for a blown fuse at the power supply board.

Had my toshiba regza 42rv530u since March 2009 a few days ago it cut off and will not come back on, the yellow light flashes at the bottom of the tv, 3 blinks pause 3 blinks etc....

try resting your tv. power off it press and hold av select botton and then power on your tv wait few minutes and it will rest your tv.... if not used the same wy holding menu botton instead.

If there was a popping noise of any kind when the tv screen went black there's a high possibility that one of the fuses in the tv popped and there is no power to the tv. It could also just be the outlet itself and try plugging the tv to different working outlets.

I have a Toshiba Regza 42 inch LCD flat screen tv. Sometimes when changing channels the scrren turns green. There is still sound. The only way to bring the picture back is to turn the tv and dvr off and...

I suggest you do firmware update first, then you can use another source such as a DVD plug in to the same HDMI input when the problem appear, to make sure where is the problem, if it is the on the TV, replace the main board.
Part # 75012465 cost approx $300.

The 42RV530U is known to develop problems in both the power board and the main board.

My Regza 42" tv just keep cycling through amber light then green then amber then green - rebooting the TV each time. It's not responding to the remote control or the local control buttons - power, volume,...

Try unpluggung it for 30 minutes and try again. If it is still bad, the power supply will be the first place to check.

I have a toshiba regza mod# 42rv530u that my screen shows alot of discoloration now. no picture, just alot of colored squares. what could be the problem or do i just need to throw it in the trash?

could be tiling if it is like frozen squares it is probably a cable system problen not the tv

Your mainboard is damaged, replace it and that will solve your issue.

Having similar problem. Apparently there are more than one fuse inside this PS. I counted 5 total. Everything is pointing to the second stage of the primary side. There's a 2.5A/250v fuse and the switch mode is nearby..Q860. I worry about the validity of this site to have proper schematics and knowledge...but I'll hold my breath like u clyde.
