In the manual it said that it has a webcam, but i cant turn it on!

i also have the same problem... its been doing it ever since i first got onto it.... there is no where that says anything about webcam.... i can however turn it on and off by pressing 'Fn' along with F6 but its useless.. HELP?

What program/software are you trying to use? HP usually has software on the laptop, say "CyberLink" or some other. It may automatically enable when you enter into a video chat application.

The camera manual is available in the application's Help menu after installation

If you select it as the default video input device, Yahoo will turn it on automatically when you use the webcam in Yahoo.
From what you write, you might need to (re)install the webcam drivers.
Check the HP website or use a driver finder program.

In the start menu you should find a webcam capture program, or in my computer you should be able to see the webcam as a folder. If you open either of these the camera should work. If you want to add webcam features to MSN, you need to run the Audio/Video setup wizard in MSN Messenger. If you cant do either of these things then you need to check that the BIOS is not set to "OS SETUP" mode. Check the user manual on how to do this.
