I have contacted Sprint for four weeks now and cannot get an answer to my problem. My cell phone number has been blocked and I need to be removed. Please help! Many of my clients will not answer a call from a PRIVATE number.
Hi, I am happy to serve you with this. I have sprint myself. Before you make a call dial *82, area code, and the humber. This will make your number visible. Example:
718-599-5555 you would dial *8217185995555
Go ahead and try. Also ask sprint that you don't need a private number. It seems like they categorized your number as private.
When you do want you number to be private, you dial with *67. The same way as above. This dialing rule applies to phone lines as well.
Take Care.

Log into your cell phone account online and look for "Messaging Preferences" or a similar option. Some providers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Alltel, Verizon and Sprint, now allow you to adjust your settings to block certain contacts. You may have to pay an additional monthly fee and register for this service. You'll probably have a limit for the number of contacts you can add to this list.
Save the phone number to your contact list. You can name it "Blocked." Then edit the contact and scroll to "Messages" or "Text" options. Change the volume to "silent" and turn any LED light and vibration settings off. This will allow you stop being notified when you get a message from this person.
Call your cell phone provider and ask the representative to block certain phone numbers from texting you. Some providers will gladly accommodate this request because they do not want you to remove text messaging completely because of annoyances from one person.
Report all cell phone spammers to your cell phone company. Take note of the phone number that sent a text to you and the product being sold so you can make a complete report. This may not be an instant fix, but over time, the spam may stop because of your complaint. Ask the provider to credit your account for any unwanted spam messages.
Last Updated: Sep 08, 2010You can block your Caller ID information (name and phone number) on a call-by-call basis. Just dial *67 before dialing the number you're calling, and your information will not show up on their Caller ID display.you can also go to http://support.sprint.com/support/article/Know_the_difference_between_restrict_and_block_on_Caller_ID/case-wh164052-20100907-101149?&INTNAV=SU:SP:HDILast Updated: Sep 08, 2010Restrict Caller ID is a restriction that is placed on your account to completely block your information (name and phone number) from being displayed on any call you make. This has to be done by contacting our Customer Care team.Block Caller ID is something you can do yourself directly on your phone by dialing *67 before the number you're calling. This only affects one call at a time, so you have to dial the code before every call you want to block your Caller ID.**************i did some research and found the answer, please provide me with FAIR feed back i.e. 3 or 4 thumbs up. according to sprints website and also htc support forum there is no way to block the caller id automatically. dont kill the messanger i just wanted to pass the info found on htc and through sprint.
