The battery of my Casio 1846 W-71 was dead, so I tried to replace the battery by myself.
First, you need to get a hand on a CR2016 3-volts battery. It could cost you 5$ or 10$, but I got 5 of them for 1.50$ at an electronics discount store...
Get a precision screwdriver, remove the 4 screws. Be careful when you remove the cover, there's a tiny spring. Remember where it is, then remove it. Remove the watch from the shell.
Using a flat mini screwdriver, remove the cover that holds the battery. You'll need to unclip all 4 corners. There are centers to unclip too, not sure if there was 2 or 4 of them.
Remove the battery, place the new one. Clip the battery cover back, and put the watch back in the shell.
I closed the cover. The watch was showing time, buttons were working, but no sound at all. Looked on the Internet, and read that you need to short circuit it.
Look carefully, there is a label "AC" near a small hole. (Inside the hole you'll see the gray spike of a welding). Just touch something metal inside the hole (e.g. the welding spike) and then touch the positive (top) side of the battery. Put the cover back in place, press a button and listen for the beep.
You can find free manuals for many different Britax car seats on Manuals Online: http://babycare.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/britax/britax_car_seat_product_list.html Just search for your model (they are listed alphabetically on the site) in the list.
Hi Normally it's not reccomandable to remove the base ... It's build to last forever and keep the seat sturdy in it's place. This construction gives you the option to change the position into 5 different angles for sitting, resting and sleeping. Just when you want to install the seat or put it into it's "sleeping position" just lift the recline handle under the seat shell and pull it. This way you'll have more space to get the seat-belts through. http://images.owneriq.net/download/images/7/73cb1008-15f7-452b-8191-2a676308c9fb-000001.png Hope this answers your question. Kind regards
Press and hold down the harness release button. With your other hand below the chest pads, pull the shoulder straps forward as far as possible. With the Eclipse Si fully reclined, open the seat-belt guard at the back of the shell. Pull the yoke out from behind the seat and unhook both shoulder straps. Pull the cover from the top of the seat so that you can see the slots in the seat shell. Pull each shoulder strap and chest pad strap forward and towards the centre of the shell, easing the metal tab and straps through the slot. Then thread them through to the front of the cover. Unfasten the buckle and remove the comfort pad. Gently pull the cover off the seat, easing the shoulder straps, chest pads, harness buckle and adjuster strap through the slots in the cover.

WIth most carseats there should be a label underneath the seat (directly underneath where the bottom would be) this should have a barcode, product name and colour.
The fan switch that you installed has been directly connected to the live wire .There for you have too repeat the connection of the wires to the switch. Make sure that the wire that connect to the power of the fan , will be connected to the fan switch on and off circuit.then it will function normally .
