Question about Westinghouse Televison & Video
I found 2 different sources online that list the weight as either 61.1 lbs or 68.1 lbs. I think the 61.1 is more accurate for the bare TV without the stand or anything attached. But keep in mind that when mounting a flat panel TV to a wall, you should secure it with hardware rated for much higher weight tolerances. Many mounting brackets for TVs of this size are rated for 150 - 200 lbs, and for good reason. Consider a situation where someone trips and catches his balance on the wall-mounted TV. The TV is already putting 61 lbs of pressure on the bracket, so any force from any other contact is added to that. It doesn't take much to add up to 100 lbs or more. If the mount breaks free from the wall, you'll have damage to the TV, the wall, the mount, and any furniture or flooring beneath the TV, so the best advice is to mount it as if it weighed about 150 lbs. The 7 lbs +/- difference in reported weights won't matter at all.
