I am washing clothes in a borrowed Kenmore washer. It's probably 10 years old. It stops short of completing the Rinse cycle and never makes it to the Spin cycle. The bowl will start filling up w/ water, but nothing happens after that. Any ideas? Timer problem? Is something stuck? Fixable?

Would this be the problem if it stops halfway through the Rinse cycle and doesn't even get to the Spin cycle? Each time I put it closer to Spin or directly on the Spin cycle, nothing happens.

You have to open the cabinet to replace the switch. It's not hard to do. If you could give me the model number that is under the lid, I will be able to direct you to the part. Here is a vieo to show you how to replace the switch.

I did push on the switch. When the switch was pushed down it works....the problem I think I have discovered is that the plastic piece that holds the switch (or lever the switch is pushed against) has broke and the screws no longer hold it up. I am guessing to get the plastic piece that holds it up I need to get the whole piece/switch/unit. Model # 110.22432100 I did push on the switch.
