Try using a trouble light to see if your getting current to the bulb socket. You may have a broken wire somewhere.

how do I get to the light bulb on the Maytag Neptune front load washer, to change it?

the bulbs may look good but try a new one or just try tighting them into the sockets tighter. this is a common problem . the rubber prevents the bulb from going in all the way .. silcone grease on the bulb base.. mm
