Battery charger for a JVC GR AX230 camcorder

Hi! I want to buy a charger so I don't have to plug in my camera every time I want to charge my battery. Do you know where I can find one? I've looked everywhere! Even on ebay! Thank you.

We haven't used our JVC video camera for quite awhile. we just got new batteries and I can't find my charger. Can it charge from the camera if we plug it in? or do I need my battery charger?

Pluging into PC does not charge battery. Go to www.bestbatt.com to get a charger cable or go to Radioshack and look into their universal charger units. fairly affordable.

Error code E03,camcorder shuts down, won't eject tape. How do I fix it.

E03 means the motor drive has failed. The damage is permanent. The camcorder GR-AX5 is too old to repair.Recycle it and buy a new one.

Camcorder (used only twice)now says communication error

Try using the orijinal JVC battery, sometimes compatible batteries cause this kind of problems.

JVC GR-D350U Digital Video Camera "Communication Error"

Just found a workaround for the "cheap battery" problem. The problem is that there is some circuitry in the more expensive JVC batteries that the generics don't have. When this isn't detected by the camcorder, it won't function. It's a neat trick to make you buy the proprietary battery. Also suspecting that with the JVC battery, if the circuitry gets fried for some reason, the battery will no longer work. Well, the generic battery I have has a plug in the back of it so you can charge it with the JVC factory supplied charger. There was also a jumper cord supplied with the camcorder. Plug this in the back of your cheap battery, plug the other end into your DC port on your camera, and voila! You're in business. Downsides are that you have a short cord between the battery and camcorder and the battery indicator won't work so you'll need a spare.
