I have the same problem. Door does not open or close when press the push button and/or transmitter. The light flashes 5 times. Manually open or close the door is ok. On the manual troubleshoot, it says it's either the opener is overheated or it's on vocation mode. I don't know how to switch of vocation mode. Is it possible the thermal sensor is broken?
Can someone help?
Could be the split pin that locks the helical gear to the drive shaft assembly broken, if the motor drives. Or maybe one of the big springs, if you can't unlock the door and lift manually.
Your door sensors for what ever reason arent working or are not aligned one is transmitter and one is a reciever
Has blown the cpu board.common as issue with guardian

Hi, this is a common issue with the Guardian openers. Basically, the door is too heavy for the motor. Even though you might be able to open it manually, the motor is only used to a certain weight that it can lift. Anything more then what it is programmed to lift, the motor will not open. On the back of the unit you will find 4 buttons in a square configuration. The top 2 buttons will be more force (ne for open one for close). Press each button 4-5 times each and try opening the garage door with your remote. This increases the fore which the motor uses to open and close the door. Another issue with these motors is if you open and close the door a number of times in a shirt amount of time. This will cause the motor to overheat. If this is your situation, turn it off at the main PowerPoint and leave it off for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, turn it back on and everything will be back to normal.
