There is a large board attached behind the LCD panel, the video enters and is processed on that board and distributed to the display screen, when there is a disruption in the processing it involves the panel that is tied to the main itself. If the video cable is detachable from the monitor and computer you can try to sub it for any change. Problems of this nature usually exceed the price of a new monitor and better just to replace it for a new one.
