If it is just burnt out , you do not have to remove or replace the whole lamp , just the small bulb inside of it. They are usually easily accessable from inside the engine compartment , and just come out of the back of the headlight by 1/4 turn.

The one thing that is different about this vehicle is that the front grill must be removed to replace the headlights. The grill is held on by clips and pops right off. After the grill is remove the head light covers will move so the lights can twist out for replacement. After the grill will snap right back on.

I have a 2003 Hyundia Elentra. I had a directional bulb fall out in the headlight case. How can I get it out?

remove the headlamp assembly (three 10mm bolts). Disconnect the wire harness connector to the assembly. Locate the bulb socket where the directional bulb fell out. Counter-clockwise, twist the bulb socket and remove from headlamp assy. Either return the bulb to its socket, OR replace the bulb & re-insert the socket into the headlamp assy. Reinstall the Headlamp Assy.
