Hi, my UH036SX-2 Receivers do not scan as the "RX" symbol stays on. each time i press scan, it stops on the next freq. how can i adjust squelch to fix this problem?

Make and model of unit ? And does it receive a programmed channel when set to it on manual mode "NO SCAN" ? If it does, program your weather channel on a unused channel in manual mode, and adjust discriminator coil for best audio sound, usually no more than a half turn either way. Discriminator coil is usually near 455 or 450 khz filter, a small square box, usually Black or Orange. Then the squelch and scan operate properly. Stopping on an active channel.

To programme a repeater. VFO mode & curson on top line of display. Enter freq eg 147.250. Go menu button change settings like offset, tone. In menu delete channel required eg 000. In menu below that, choose mem channel now 000 & it saves receive freq.

Exit. press *SCN button so R appears on display. Save as 000 again but this time it stores TX freq. In other words, you save RX first, then exit.Add * so R appears in display second time round and save again TX freq. Go to channel mode and see it is in 000.

I might do a video to help people. Its the same process with UV5r and other Baofeng. Simplex you just save in one operation because TX is RX.

Hyperscan is usually, but not the only domain of scanning receivers.

Does it affect your Tx or Rx, if not, then there is nothing wrong, but if you want it to stop scanning for an active channel, then press the scan button once to stop it.

Hi my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and I see you arelooking for the remote codes for your Yamaha RX-V795 5.1. The codes are; 733,747, 730, 731, 732, 745 and 663. To address the remote to the Yamaha you willwant to press and hold the desired mode button (TV, VCR, and AUX) until theentire mode button backlights come on, then release. The next thing you want todo is press the number 2 and enter the three digit code (the light will blinkoff after each digit is entered and then return to a steady light.) After youenter the 2 and the three digit code press the Pound (#) button, if the codeentered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times. Hold the PTT button and the MON button in while turning on the radio. Continue to hold them until the programming initialization noises stop. Press the menu button one time to get to the Freq setting, change it to 6. Then press the menu button to lock in this setting. The next menu screen is the Code, set it to match your other units. Then press the menu button again to lock it in. Press the menu button to walk through another 2 or 3 screens and then you will hear a different chirp. Your radio is now programmed, simply shut it off and turn it back on and your radios should work.

You will need to goto the control panel goto reginal setting and set to your country, then goto the language tab at the top goto details, adjust this at the top using the small arrow to bring down the other choices set this to england united kingdom click apply then ok and exit out of all open windows now check your keyboard, if still the same reboot the computer then try hopfully your keyboard will be as you want it. hope this helps and post back if you have dificulties.

Looks like the the unit is locked to region 1.

The Yamaha receiver you listed is region free, therefore I assume you are talking about a different unit, in that case give model please.

If you have the problem with a Yamaha RX-V661, then simply disconnect power cord for ten minutes. And disconnect from power all devices connected to the receiver.
This should reset the system.

Mark, are you hearing anybody talking when it stops on that frequency or is it just silent or noise?

Hi, using the manual button, step to channel 1 and enter your freq. including the point then press the E button. You might have to step to the next channel using the manual button again. Enter the next freq. and repeat. WX is the weather bands. Lockout is for locking out a nuisance channel(as an example, if someone's mic stays keyed, and keeps the squelch open).Priority is for any channel whose conversations you don't want to miss, just press the button for the specific channel. That way any time someone keys up on your priority channel, even if it's on another channel talking, will go right to the priority one. Review gives you a readout of the freq you programmed into a specific channel. If you need new or extra freq's check here on this site.

There is a relay right next to the fuses on the inside dg1u it says on the top. I cleaned it and pressed down firmly on it and it seem to have fixed it. It fired up for the first time.. The relay might need to be replaced if this doesnt work for ya.
