Hi. I don't know about what drivers, because after you hook up all the parts, and install windows, almost all the drivers should be taken care of.
Here is a link to the motherboard manual:
http://www.retrevo.com/search/v2/jsp/downloadPage.jsp?doc=597e0c92ad139e9419130e4315028286&modelid=17246080&q=MSI+MS-6787
As for parts, there are several things you are going to need.
1: a pentium 4 socket 478 processor, up to 3.0 ghz
2: 2x1024 mb pc2700 or 3200 ddr ram, and it has to be non-ecc, as that is the maximum you can put in the motherboard
3: a good video card, pci will work just fine, agp is better
4: hard drive or drives must be IDE, but finding a good 40 or 80 gb drive is pretty easy.
5:optical drive, also must be ide interface, or they might call it pata, it means the same thing, parts wise
I would go for a dvd burner, that way it has the most amount of flexibility, operating system wise.
6: Power supply, or get a case that has a power supply already in it. ATX type, because that is the type of your board.
7: Network card, by this I mean a regular network card, not a wireless card.
8: (optional) wireless card..plugs into usb slot.
USB is 2.0 compliant, so your usb will run at full speed480 mbs, not like 1.1, which runs at only 11mps
9: Cooling fans, the cooler you acn keep the computer, the better it will run.
I think that is everything.
Good luck with your project computer, I hope everything works out ok.
Oh, here is the link for motherboard drivers as well:
http://www.edriverdownload.com/driver/Micro-Star%20(MSI)%20/Micro-Star%20(MSI)%20msi-6787%20Driver.html
I hope that's all it takes, I can't think of anything else right off hand.
Don't forget your keyboard and mouse, and monitor will need their drivers downloaded after you get it all together.
Hi,
The manual and drivers for this motherboard can be downloaded from MSI Website.
Hover your cursor on each menu choice for more options.
I hope this works for you. Good Luck!
