Question about Samsung Solstice SGHa887

Open Question

My Samsung Solstice won't receive text messages specifically from facebook. It should because I activated Facebook Mobile and I'm not getting anything on my phone from it. It also won't send text messages to facebook either. When I sent one to update my status, it didn't show up on my profile.

I can't get a conformation code for my moblie number to log into facebook

Make sure that you've added your correct mobile number to your Facebook account. If you entered the wrong number, you can correct your information and have the text message (SMS) resent.
In some countries, you may need to wait up to 12 hours before you receive the code. We're working with mobile carriers to resolve this issue.
If you've followed the above steps and are still having trouble receiving the text message with your confirmation code

How to open my cellphone in faebook

What you need to do is contact your local service provider (e.g mine was Mobilicity) and then tell them that you're having trouble receiving a confirmation code from Facebook. They should be able to fix the problem, because I received my confirmation code right after.

(By the way, you can only use your cell phone number once, because you're only supposed to have one account, according to Facebook)

You could also use the calling option, and have Facebook call you to send you the verification code.

DON'T use your home phone number for these options, because if you need to verify your account again, they will automatically text you with the number you gave them and tell you to type in the confirmation code
Step 1Go online to Facebook's Mobile page.
Step 2Type your email address and Facebook password into the corresponding text-fields and click "Login" to sign-in to your Facebook account.
Step 3Scroll down and click "Text a link to my phone." It may take up to five minutes to receive the text message from Facebook.
Step 4Type your Boost Mobile phone number into the text-field and click "Text link to my phone."
Step 5Open the SMS application on your Boost Mobile phone and open the text message sent to you by Facebook. Click the link provided in the text message. This link automatically directs your phone to download the Facebook application. Access the new application by going to your main apps menu and selecting the Facebook icon.
Get Facebook Mobile on Boost Standard Cellular Handset Step 1Go online to Facebook's Mobile download page.
Step 2Type your email address and password into the corresponding text-fields and click "Login" to sign-in to your Facebook account.
Step 3Scroll down and click "Sign Up for Facebook Text Messages."
Step 4Select "Boost Mobile" from the drop-down menu and click "Next."
Step 5Activate your Boost cellular handset, open your SMS application and select the option to create a new SMS.
Step 6Address the SMS to "32665" and type "F" in the message field. Click "Send." Wait a couple of minutes for a reply. The reply contains a confirmation code.
Step 7Type the confirmation code into text-field and click "Confirm."
Step 8Configure your Facebook Mobile settings according to your preferences. For instance, if you want to update your Facebook status with text messages, click the "ON" button bellow "Texts are." If you want to receive text messages of certain friends' status updates, type their name in the text-field beside "Whose status updates should go to my phone." Once you are finished, click "Save Preferences."
Step 9Update your status by typing it into a new text-message and addressing it to "32665."

How to use free facebook on my cellphone

What type of mobile phone do you have? you can use a free Facebook mobile access if you have a wifi connection and install a facebook application but depends on your mobile phone. Some other network had free usage of Facebook depends on what plan you've choose but other are loaded.

But did you know that you could view, update and upload to the site on your humble mobile phone? And all without installing a thing?

All you need is:
  • A Facebook account
  • An internet-capable phone
That's it. Read on to find out how to get up and running:
step01.gif
Point your internet browser to Facebook's mobile section. You might be required to sign in, after which you'll be shown to the mobile page. Click on the "Activate Facebook Mobile" button on the top right of the screen. size1.jpg
step02.gif
Input your mobile number in the left hand box, remembering to add your country code (+44 for the UK) in place of the first '0'. Then click on your carrier, or operator, in the right hand box. Then click on the Activate button. size3.jpg
step03.gif
You'll receive a swift text from Facebook containing your Confirmation Code. Bring it up and type it in to the box that now appears on your monitor. Click Confirm. size2.jpg
step04.gif
That's it, you're now signed up for Facebook Mobile. By texting a message to 32665 (if that sounds a little random, it's FBOOK on your keypad) you can update your status for all your friends to see. You can also receive texts when people poke, message, wall post, or befriend you. When you next check your Facebook profile you'll see that the Facebook Mobile application has been added. fac2.jpg
step05.gif
You'll now be shown to the customisation page, where you can set limits on what you receive on your mobile. You can choose whose messages, comments and status updates get sent to your phone and whether you should be notified of friend requests. You can also set the maximum number of texts you receive in one day and when they get delivered.

When you look at the reams and reams of "friends" some people seem to have, this is an important feature that shouldn't be skipped. You could be checking your phone all day otherwise (you popular thing you). size5.jpg
step06.gif
Finally, you should really point your mobile towards Facebook and keep it bookmarked. There's a specially mobile-optimized page for speedy updates. Go to m.facebook.com on your phone's internet browser.

You'll be able to do most of the things you can on your PC from here, but it's presented in a clear, simplified way that shouldn't hit your data usage tariff too hard. size6.jpg

How do i download my pics from cell phone to facebook?

hello. here are two ways to do it:
1. to transfer your picture- first you need to connect to your pc either by USB cable(that came with your camera) or a bluetooth device. then you will need a PC suite that is compatible with your cellphone. this device will help you transfer it to your PC. once tranfered to your PC. you can now download it to your facebook.

2. here is a copy pasted instruction from http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/send-photos-from-cell-phone-to-facebook/
this is by using mobile@facebook.com: i think this is a lot easier

Step 1: First, find the picture you want to upload to Facebook on your cell phone and find the option to send the photo in an email. Or you might first have to choose that you want to send an email and then you can pick a picture.
Step 2: Now send the email to mobile@facebook.com. Make sure the picture is included as an attachment to the email.
Step 3: You can put a title for the photo in the Subject line.
Step 4: Send the email and wait until you receive an email back from Facebook stating that the upload was successful. At the bottom of the email will be a six character code which you will need in the following steps.
Step 5: Now go to Facebook and log into your account. Then go to the URL below
http://www.facebook.com/mobile
and click on the Activate Facebook Mobile button.
activatefacebookmobile-thumb.png
Step 6: At the bottom left of the page, you will see the Activate Facebook Mobile heading. Under the Activate button, click on Already have a confirmation code? link.
facebookmobile-thumb.png
Step 7: Type in the confirmation number that you had gotten in the text message from Facebook. You will then get a message saying Your mobile phone has been confirmed.
That's it! You should now be able to send photos from your cell phone to mobile@facebook.com and have them show up in your Facebook profile! Enjoy!

hope this helps. goodluck and please rate my answer. thank you

Can't sign in on facebook on mobile

You must be able to receive text messages in order to sign up using a mobile number. If you are unable to receive text messages, or have trouble receiving one when you try to sign up with your mobile number, try registering using an email address instead. You can do this by clicking the "Register using your email" link on the sign up page on the mobile site, or by signing up on the computer.

If you are still experiencing issues, you can always try signing up on the full site by going to www.facebook.com

Hope this helps. Thank you for using Fixya! Hope I helped you with your problem.

Receiving text messages from face book did not sign up for it

You can either text "off" to 32665 (FBOOK) from your mobile phone, or log in to Facebook and then click on this link: http://www.facebook.com/mobile/?settings=1 and then under "Facebook text messages" click on "off".

Hope this is helpful!
