My washer when it is on the spin cycle wobbles back and forth almost like it is off track somewhere buts its not off balance. It hits each side of the washer like its lose, and instead of spinning around in a circle it is wobbling from side to side back and forth. Can someone please tell me whats wrong or if i need to buy a new washer?

If the washer is overloaded or the clothes are bunched up on one side, the drum becomes out of balance and wobbles.
If it is wobbling in the spin cycle, it may need leveling with some shims under it. Get a level to check this out and some shims to fix it.
If the machine has been tilted and you hear a lot of knocking, it is "off track." Eye the support rods.
Replacing dampners would have LITTLE effect in terms of reducing vibrations (which is actually not the problem). The problem is not a bad bearing or else it would sound like a train and you would be mentioning such.
However, replacing the springs and the snubbner might fix the problem. The suspension springs are under tension, by the way. That means you can get hurt in an instant by a something flinging free before you can possibly dodge. The snubbber is the right everything sits on at the bottom. That would take a couple of hours and might be a bit of a struggle.
There is a little device inside the washer that allows the agitator to spin independent of the drum. If this gets stuck, the washer will try to spin the whole drum instead of just the agitator. This will cause the washer to think the load is too large or out of balance, causing the error code. On some Whirlpools this device is just a washer.
I would guess you need to level it. Most washers and dryers have some sort of self leveling in their feet but some do not. Attempt to lift the rear of the machine up two to four inches and then set it back down. Check to see if it wobbles. If is still wobbles you may need to adjust the foot using an open ended wrench.
The tub is out of balance. When it starts hitting the sides, stop the washer and move your clothes around inside the tub to balance the tub. Now start it to spin again. This should stop the tub from hitting the sides.
