This is likely a very simple problem. Look for a connector that you did not seat properly or got pulled off when you opened the unit. The cables are often short and pull off the connections or even break a wire. It is NOT likely you need a new power supply.
ALSO see if you might have pinched a wire when re-assembling the unit.

*UPDATE*
I have fixed the problem!! =)
I took it upon myself to gain access to the display circuit board, I could push on the display unit (with the top plate off) and get the display to light up. I then gained access to that circuit boards under side and found that pin #1 (3.3 volt solder joint) had a cold solder joint. I could push the display down and see the pin move on the underside of the circuit board, indicating there was a cold solder joint that had fractured over time. Reflowed the joint and add a tad bit more solder (lead solder =) - too bad they have now banned lead solder. Without it, it seems that it is leading to soo many solder joint problems in electronics now days. Anyways, I am VERY happy that i was able to figure this out on my own. Just figured I'd post the results since I have noticed a few people having problems with this. If you have the same issue and can't figure it out let me know and i will help you the best I can.
I am now back up and mixing again with a DISPLAY!! =D - Josh
