The water seal has worn out and water has gotten into the bearings. You need to call a service tech to have it repaired. It is not a cheap repair. Whirlpool has a repair that replaces the back half of outer tub and a new inner tub or basket one in the same. Another salution is replace the seal and bearings, still a lot of labor. go to utube and a guy does to an LG, but the the repair is about the same for a Duet
