Books will not download - Amazon Kindle 3G

What does it say when you try to open them?

Per Amazon: If your book won't open, there may have been an error downloading the book.
To download the book again:

1. Connect to Wi-Fi.
2. From Home, tap My Library, and then tap the Downloaded tab.
3. Press and hold the title of the Kindle book, and then tap Delete This Book.
4. Tap the Menu icon, tap Settings, tap the Menu icon again, and then tap Restart.
5. After your Kindle restarts, tap the All tab, and then tap the title of the Kindle book to download it again.

Books you purchase will be listed in your Amazon Kindle library, also known as the Cloud. If you have a touch screen Kindle, on the home page you will see the *Device* and *Cloud* options. Touch the Cloud option and it will display all the books in your Kindle library.

To download a book to your device you must be connected to wi-fi or 3G if your device has that option (Whisper synch). Once connected, all you have to do is touch the book you want to download to your device and it will automatically be downloaded. Most books take well less than a minute do download.

Download the Kindle app from the App Store that is free. Then make an account on Amazon, so you can buy books. Then you can download the books you want to read. (After you payed)

Or learn how to work with news groups, to download books for less, if that is allowed in your country. With the right programs and apps, you then can read the books on every device you have.

When you buy a book it goes into your library. You can access Amazon Kindle via the Amazon website and check your library to make sure the book you bought is listed there. If it is not, then something went wrong and your sale didn't register. If your new book is listed in your library then it is available. Make sure your Paperwhite is connected to the Amazon Servers via Wi-Fi or 3G if yours has that option and touch (Cloud) you should see your new book listed in your library. Touch it and it should start downloading. It should not take long for the download to complete and the book to appear on your Homescreen. New books should automatically download the first time you connect to the servers after you buy it. But if they don't for some odd reason manually touching them will cause them to download.

This depends on what format they are in (epub, mobi, pdf, html, txt or a range of others) You may need a special reader for that format.

I use a library organizer calibre which contains a converter and a viewer which supposedly allows you to convert books between different formats and to read book in a variety of different formats. You must add the book to calibre to be able to read it. It's free. I have a kindle but that only reads mobi formats, and reading epub books atm so calibre works well for that. I have not used any of the "library" functions so far. I found it quite difficult to learn at first.

You need access to the original file. It is possible that it automatically archived somewhere on your computer. If you cannot find it, you should be able to acquire again from the original place you purchased it. If your tablet already has an e-reader, follow those instructions for how to install the book. Another option is to download "Google Play" which works with Android devices and would allow you to view the book (again, if you have the original).

Could you tell me the name of your tablet?

As I known, nearly all of the tablet can download ebooks only by wifi connected.

For instance, I can read Google books purchased from Google Play Books on Nexus 7. And I can also read Kindle books on my Nexus 7, too.
