How to replace door seal on washing machine Bosch Advantixx ?

How to Replace the Door Seal on a Washing Machine - Bosch
One of the most common faults of a leaking washing machine is a faulty seal. Thankfully replacing such a component of your washing machine is not a difficult task.
In the above video, with the help of our experienced team, we explain how to replace the washing machine door seal, and below we've compiled a simple step-by-step guide which takes you through every point covered in our video.
Step 1: To remove the door seal on any make and model of washing machine, you'll need to remove the entire front panel, followed by the soap dispenser and fascia.
Removing the panel and fascia is easy to do, once you've undone the screws holding it in place, whilst the soap dispenser should just clip out of place.
Step 2: With these components removed, clip away the kick plate, put the drain hose to one side before removing the retaining clip which holds the door seal against the front of the machine. Once the clip has been removed just push the seal inside.
Step 3: Undo the four remaining screws holding the front of the machine on, before pulling the front of the machine and the door away from the machine.
Once the front of the machine is off, you should be able to see the spring retaining band going all the way around thedrum. This should be easy to pull off, enabling you to peal the whole old seal away; once you've removed the old seal this can be thrown away, although it is advisable to keep the retaining band, as this can be reused with the new seal.
Step 4: You'll now be ready to attach the new seal, when doing so make sure that the drain holes are positioned at six o'clock; once you've done this it is just a case of working the new seal onto the drum.
With the seal worked onto the drum, put the retaining spring into its little ridge, before giving the seal one final check.
Step 5: Reattach all the parts back to your washing machine, attaching the door seal to the front of the machine ensuring that it goes over the lip, before attaching the retaining band on the bottom and sides.
There you have it, a step-by-step guide to replacing the door seal on a washing machine, helping it to perform to its optimum level.

Why does my hoover wmh168d bang so loudly at the start of the spin cycle it is that loud you can here it all around the house?

It could be a problem with the balance of the machine. Make sure it's level on the floor. Could also be a problem with the suspension that supports the drum. Usually there are springs at the bottom of the drum and a lump of concrete at the top to keep the machine stable. They could be loose or broken. Also, when you open the door just have a look at the drum, see if you can lift it around the entrance, if it feels easy to move up and down without moving the rest of the machine then the drum bearings could be broken / loose. You really need an engineer to take a look, unless you know someone like a friend who could look for you.

Maytag washing machine wobbles when spinning. Legs are level so is problem inside?

Check the suspending springs inside. These are attached to to the drum jacket. If the springs are OK check whether the drum is wobbling. Turn by hand and check. Check ball bearings last!!!

Front load machine, a round spring came off. how do i put it back on and why did it come off.

Most likely it's a suspension spring that allows flexibility in the drum mechanism as it turns during the spin cycle. Imbalanced loads will sometimes cause these springs to come off, and it's a self-perpetuating problem. With a missing spring, load imbalance will be worse, possibly causing additional springs to become dislodged. You need to fix this ASAP if you plan to continue using the washer.

My hoover galaxy washing machine stops when clothes are not balanced properly.i have to even out the clothes then start the machine.if the clothes are balanced it finishes its cycle.if not the machine...

Hi

It is normal for the drum to sway excessively and hit the balance switch if the load is not evenly distributed around the drum or if you have excess cloths.

Once the balance switch is trigerred, you can reset by openning and closing the door. It is a safety mechanism which stops the spin cycle if the drum sways excessively.

If this tends to happen often, then you need to make sure the machine is properly balanced and not leaning too much to the back.

Also the drum suspension rods do tend to wear out over time and loose their firmness, causing the drum to sway excessively. You can check this by opening the lid. Pushing down and from side to side onto the agitator, and seeing if their is a firm bound on the drum. Also making sure the drum returns to centre position. If the suspension springs feel loose and wayward, then they will need replacement.

Clanging noise during spin cycle

Ahaaaa... BALANCE your loads... true for Life too!

Also know some springs "age" and don't provide the "RESISTANCE" needed to keep your drum in place... so they may LOOK PERFECTLY GOOD, but are actually tired from constant stress.

Do your best to use SPRINGS DESIGNED for your washer!

YOU failed to include your model number so I can't be more specific than this.
