The charge assembly is in the Xerographic module or a separate part?
There is a XEROX mod to fix this problem?!?!!?
My repair lady is not too swift. How do I find out if my machine has this mod or what the mod # would be?
Thanks
again, for your help! You are the first person I have talked to that
even remotely understands my problem and how to fix it.
The charge assembly is part of the module. It is called the Xerographic module.Ther should be a small orange knob sticking out of the module that you can pull out and in that would clean the charge and possibly help. But replacing it would resolve your issue, I am 99 percent certain. The only other issue would be the developer housing, but if that were the problem the machine should fault out and just not run at all.I honestly am not sure of the number, familarity makes you not pay attention to some things. Those are customer replacable. Look up a place on google called The Parts Drop. Get the number and call, ask for Britt, he will help you with what you need. If you have a maintenance contract, Xerox will provide the xero module free of charge.
Its in a pretty big box. about 2 by 3 feet size.
You take the old one out by moving an orange lever sliding the old one out and putting the new one in, there is also a waste bottle on the left side of the machine you pop in and out.

I thought when you said Xerox mod you were saying Xerox MODIFICATION not Xerox module.
I am sorry if you were insulted, it was not my intent!
Here is your wording:
"Xero Mod will fix it."
Here was my response:
"I thought when you said Xerox mod you were saying Xerox MODIFICATION not Xerox module."
I also said:
"The charge assembly is in the Xerographic module...
...this has been a constant problem for 6 months and we have tried your
solution before and have gone through maybe 6-8 xerographic modules in
the course of the last 6 months"
So see, I DID know what a Xerographic module was, it just threw me off when you abbreviated it to "mod", which also an abbreviation for "modification"
My "thanks for trying" rating was because your solution was probably true, it didn't really solve my problem, because in essence Xerox's Xerographic modules are ****, brand new ones do NOT fix my problem, repeatedly.
Your comments have verified that and I appreciate that a lot, I REALLY do. But my situation now is to replace the copier because of crappy design and manufacturing on Xerox's end of their xerographic modules. I too know copiers and have been responsible for buying over 10 million dollars of Xerox's. I just no longer have big corporate support or dollars. I am now just a little 5 man shop trying to get by, and very frustrated because I have lots of work and can't get it done because my machine doesn't work the way it is supposed to.
I see now where I should have rated it "helpful" instead of "thanks for trying" but in essence it didn't fix my problem. I'm sorry, this was my first time.
Thanks again for your help!
