I have a Fisher and Paykel Fridge Model E522B. The light continues to stay on even when the door is shut and the alarm continuously goes off every few seconds to say the door is open. The light is dim and the green indicator lights at the back of the fridge are constantly flashing. Any suggestions?

there may be a blockage in the evaporator tube in the fridge sections and the only way to establish what the fault is will be to have fridge technician run test on it
HI,CHECK FOR CONTINUITY ON THE DEFROST ELEMENT AND B-METAL IF THOSE COMPONENTS PASS THE TEST MAYBE THE TIMER OR DEFROST CONTROL COULD BE BAD IN YOUR REFRIGERATOR..GOOD LUCK..
Check fans in freezer and near compressor. Is compressor running continuously or clicking on and off? If fans are running and compressor is running continuously, your problem is most likely within sealed system. That would require a technician and may not be cost effective to repair.
Can be a faulty thermostat or failure of the auto defrost timer .
You must shut down fridge and restart to check , check if the frost had made the thermostat connections faulty with a loose connection.
If the cabinet is warm inside it is a failed circulation fan, failed defrost causing the evaporator to freeze up, or it needs a refrigerant gas top up.
Beeping is just an alarm. It may be because of the more serious issues listed above but can also be caused by a failing door gasket, the door being left ajar (kids are famous for this) or the door has been left open too long deciding what to have for dinner.
