I have an LG frontloader washing machine, all the buttons are disabled and there's an error message "CL" on the screen. please assist.

If you're experiencing an error on your LG front loader M80490CL washing machine, here are some steps you can try to clear the error:

1. Power off the washing machine by unplugging it or turning off the circuit breaker that powers it.
2. Wait for a few minutes to let the washing machine cool down.

CL is child lock, just press the child lock labeled button for about 3 seconds. with the unit powered on.

To release hold down 'temp' and 'eco/rapid' together, then release!

LG washing machines indicating error code CL may have the child lock activated. Try holding down the temperature and eco/rapid options together to turn off child lock.

CL is for control lock /look at panal closly should be botton or bottons you press and hold to release the control panal...Good luck

this means Child Lock (CL) u need to press and hold 2 buttons at the same time for around 4 seconds to dissarm it.. have a look on the front of ur washer where the buttons are,u should see a line connecting 2 buttons with a padlock picture in the middle of it..there the 2 buttons u press and hold

CL is about the Child Lock which is done by pressing both the buttons together. To release the same do press both the buttons under the display simultaniously

Error message CL solved. CL means child lock. To deactivate press two linked buttons (on my machine the right options button and the temp button) together for a couple of seconds.
