Maybe your build in speaker is not working or the soundcard driver is not properly installed...

It doesn't produce volume

It should occur by this
  • Volume is muted or too low.
  • Speaker is turned off or disabled.
  • Headset/earphones are plugged into the device.
It should work:
  • Increase your device's volume.
  • Turn ON or enable speaker output.
  • Unplug or remove headset/earphones.
  • Use the Mobizen X Gameduck Earphones

Can use pc speakers and plug them in the back to the earphones socket will it work

Yes. Keep in mind that the volume is adjusted on the computer. If you do not have a volume icon on the start bar, you need to click on start and type in Control Panel, click on the first Control Panel that appears. When the new window opens, click on Hardware and sound. Then look for Adjust sound volume, and click on it. Then adjust speaker sound and system sound.

How can I plug earphones into this - which plug do you use?

Unless it has a plug for earphones it will not be an easy task. Most tvs only have line out (no volume control) or speaker out (rare) to plug in external speakers. Speaker outputs would be much to high to try earphones with. Line out will probably work but with no volume control unless you have it built into your earphones. You will also need an adapter to use the earphones with the line out.

Speaker jack

Hi, First look if audio is turned off on Laptop. It's a volume icon on lower right or upper F buttons. Second look at audio plug on laptop
Make sure not loose or broken inside. If all is good, might be software issue on laptop. Take to shop for repairs. Hope that helps.

Hi, the headphone jack is not working at all! I have a Latitude D610. I've had the laptop from my company. Do you know how to address this problem? thank you very much

Does the main speakers work on the laptop? as you know when the headphones are plugged in, the internal speakers turn off. If the laptop speakers are fine then you have a problem with the ear phone jack, it needs to be replaced, or part of the original has broken free of the motherboard and needs to be resold-ed. If on the other hand you have no sound at all, the ear phone jack has comletely broken free or the audio ic is the problem. Regardless of the issues the laptop needs to be dis-assembled to address the problem.

Laptop sound works when using earphones, but speaker suddenly doesn't work without earphones. Have we accidentally pushed a button or something?

When you plug in headphones, very often they get accepted automatically and the sound port changes in the OS accordingly as well. But when you unplug them again, it happens quite often that the OS is not switching it over on its own (even still happens in win 7). Just go into the volume mixer panel/options and change the output back to the port of your speakers.

Built in speakers not working on my HP pavillion zv5000, sound only through earphones plugged in.

Try to check your settings in the control panel sound hardware .Maybe its disconnected or there are wires that has been cut-off. Try to check also your volume settings in the task bar. Maybe its set to low or minimum volume.

Sound problem with Aspire 5570

I had the same problem with my Acer 5570 and I just fixed it. What I did is to go to Control Panel > Sounds And Audio Devices >Hardware >On Devices click on Reatek High Definition Audio >Click Properties > On Devise Usage choose the option Do not use this devise (disable) > click OK >then plug in your headphones, click on Realtek High Definition Audio properties again and click on Enable Devise **with the headphones plugged in**. It worked for me.
