I just bought a new LD 325 TV I am very disappointed with the capabilities of the remote, It only seems to work if you are standing directly in front of the TV.Is there any fix for this problem or should i take it back and get another brand

Which model TV do you have?

The TVs in the LD-325 line are 14.55 pounds with the stand, but is 13.45 lbs without. If you have the original shipping container and all the accessories, the LD-3255VX weighed 21.83 lbs. The LD-3255AR is 23.2 lbs in the box.

The EW32S3PW with the stand is 15 pounds and 1.5 pounds lighter without the stand.

The older model SK-32H640G is 23.9 pounds with the stand. Removing the stand takes 1.4 lbs off the TV weight. When in the original box with accessories, the TV weighed 27.0 pounds.

There are a number of other models, so please add a comment with the model number and if the stand and accessories are going to be in the same box. I hope this gives you some help.

one or more of the tiny switches on that board with the controls is bad--either replace the board with the controls or just use the remote.

The plastic buttons will seem fine--it is the tiny switches under them that causes this issue.

The Westinghouse LD-4655VX TV has code compatibility with Sony TVs (http://westinghouseelectronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Remote_Codes_2012.pdf). I accidentally discovered that the Sony TV remote RM-YD040 works with my he Westinghouse LD-4655VX (because I have both TV sets).

The device is expected to have been acquired with a compartible remote control. However, a universal remote control is capable of powering the new TV only acquirable separatly at retail. Once acquired, the remote user guide provided the step by step instrucntions on acquiring transmittion signal from the new TV or very additional devices, sometime capable of being powered by once universal remote control.

See if your remote will work when standing in front of the tv. Since you bought a new remote and it is not working either you may have a bad power sensor or board on the tv set. Is the new remote the exact replacement for your tv set? If not it may not be programmed correctly.

I suggest that you take it back to the supplier for a free repair. (You DID register the warranty didn't you!).

We have the same tv and the same issues. I've tried new batteries, it's been like this since we bought it. I also cannot find a code that will work with the tv on a universal remote or the direct tv remote. It's frustrating. Anyone else found a solution?

If the new remote is not working either, it sounds as if the problem relates to the sensor on the TV combo.

If you bought it new last Xmas you should have some warranty left. I would get it looked at asap before the warranty expires.

I have the same tv and the same problem. The power switch in the front flashes a bunch of times, but nothing else happens. Have you had any success in getting yours fixed?
