Your guitar was made in Korea sometime during 1988-1996. That's as close as we can get.

Korean Fenders of this period were made at one of three plants, but serial numbering was chaotic and followed no set scheme. Quality also was seemingly variable.

dgx screws are so many..u have to open the speaker covers there are other screws inside...which u can only access by oppening the speaker back cover...you will also have to open the silver screws..all of the behind the cover..all this u r doing when you have separated it from the stand. place it on a mattress in need be to avoid accoustic wear.

How new is the amp?

A single faulty solder can do that...I'd try returning in to the seller.
Have you tried a different amp with the same equipment?

Yes, the pots are replaceable. Removing them from the circuit board requires solder removal tools. DO NOT atttempt to remove these with solder wick. The new high temp solder (ROHS) will surely cause the board to be damaged. I use an Ungar powered solder removal system. The parts can be found at DigiKey.com or Mouser.com. The part value is marked as is the taper which will likely be an "A" or "B" suffix. Search for potentiometer, slide. You have to exactly match the circuit board pin layout. The distributors have links to the manufacturer's spec sheets to compare. First thing is to measure the travel, then find ones with the right mounting, then the resistance and finally the taper suffix. The parts are typically between $1.50 and $3 each.
