My maytag neptune washer wont finish a rinse cycle a code comes up and says suds, then when i try to run a rense cycle a code comes up and says nd,please tell me how to fix this
We had the same problem with ours....nd means not draining and that means that there is something, probably coins stuck in your drain hose. pull the drain hose out and check it for change and make sure something isn't stuck.

"LF" on display (Long Fill - no water or insufficient water supply)
Press POWER/CANCEL to cancel the cycle. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
Plug in washer or reconnect power. Re-select cycle and press START/PAUSE.
"F9E1" on display (Drain Problem)
Press POWER/CANCEL to cancel the cycle. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
Plug in washer or reconnect power. Re-select cycle and press START/PAUSE.
"SD" on display (Suds Routine)
When excessive suds are detected, a suds routine automatically starts. This routine removes extra suds and assures proper rinsing of your garments. "SD" is displayed during rinsing and at the end of the cycle to inform you that the Suds Routine was activated. Use only HE (High Efficiency) detergents.
"F--E--" Variables (Washer Problem)
Press POWER/CANCEL to cancel the cycle. Select RINSE, DRAIN & SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer. Re-select cycle and press START/PAUSE.
Try running a load without adding anymore additional soap and see if you can get it to go through the cycle, you may have to try it several times. I would also suggest cutting the amount of soap down to help prevent this in the future.
Are you using detergent that is rated for HE (high-efficiency) washers? They are manufactured to require less per load and produce fewer suds. Conventional detergents in HE washers will result in over-sudsing.
Error codes appear when there are problems with the door, the inflow and drainage of water and the motor.
Do Your Maytag Neptune washer displays the "do" help code when the washing machine is trying to start a cycle, but the door is open or not locked properly. If this message is displayed, close the door securely and restart the washing cycle.
FL The "FL" code indicates that the washing machine was unable to lock the door after you closed it. Open and close the door tightly, then restart the washing cycle.
Sd The "Sd" code indicates that you have added too much detergent to the washing machine and your laundry has too many suds. The machine will stop displaying this code if it has successfully run the suds recovery cycle, which removes the excess suds from the wash load. If the code remains, reduce the amount of detergent in the load. Use less detergent for similar loads of laundry in the future.
PF The "PF" code indicates that a power failure has occurred. Restart the wash cycle. If the code still appears, check that the washing machine is still plugged in to the electrical outlet.
Nd The "nd" code indicates that your Maytag Neptune is not draining as it should. Check that the drain hose isn't kinked and that the stand pipe isn't clogged. If you find either of these problems, fix them before restarting the washing cycle.
LO The "LO" code appears when the washing machine has finished the selected wash cycle, but cannot unlock the door. Verify that the door is closed properly, push the "Off" button, and wait two minutes. The door should unlock and the error code will disappear. If the error code remains, unplug the washing machine, wait two minutes and plug it back into the electrical outlet.

The Motor Control Unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If "Sud" is displayed a potential Suds Lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.
Possible Causes / Procedure
• If too much detergent was used: - Run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle. - Run a Normal cycle without adding any detergent.
This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU). 4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects. 5. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 6. Check drain pump. 7. Check the pressure switch. 8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle.
(If the suds error code continues to illuminate after the above inspections are preformed, replace the pump.)
"nd" refers to a No Drain issue .check for restriction in pump, restricted drain hose loose wire at pump, bad pump. The pump had a suds lock. Unplug the machine for a minute. Plug it back
in and run a cycle on hot to get rid of the excess soap.
It means that there is too much soap in the machine most of the time. Give it time for the suds to go down then try to run it through again. Try using a little less soap later on. Front loaders need less soap than top loaders.
you have a pump problem, need to lean washer back ageist wall go under washer. front left take off both hoses stick finger in pump remove all items from pump &hoses should work now
