Just need a crash course in cleaning my 3900dn (kyocera) laser printer. Thank you, Jeff P.S. After several copies, the paper seems to get darker. Looks like a dirty drum or something else. is there a quick way to clean it up? Of course I have emptied and cleaned the waster container, etc.

You first need a HEPA vac. Toner is considered a carcinogen.

the 7410 error may be a drum unit that is not pushed in properly or it could be the following

defective drum EEPROM drum needs to be replaced or
defective engine PCB

the above suggestions assume that it is an original Kyocera drum

The Call Service 2200 is a drum motor error. The motor or gears might need to be replaced. First remove and re-seat both the developer and the drum unit. The developer is directly under the toner cartridge - lift it up then out first, then open left side door remove the waste bin and press the button on the drum unit just above the waste bin pull the unit out (carefull not to touch the drum surface). Re-seat both units. If this does not work call in a Kyocera Tech.

Kyocera FS3900DN reporting add paper cass

The problem is with paper pickup rollers.They are at the begining of the tras.

Try to clean it, and try to rotate it.

If it's not moving then try to disassamble it. You will see there is a spring underneath the rollers. Be sure if the spring stands in its place.

Hi,
This problem is caused by a poor contact in the fuser connector terminals.
Check both sides of the connection (in the printer and fuser unit) In most cases we will find small pieces of paper inside printer connector causing poor contact between printer and fuser unit connector.

Kyocera FS - 3900DN creases the paper

If even a very small piece of paper is in the paper path it could cause this issue. You may need to have a technician take the printer apart to see what the cause is. If you can indicate exactly where inside it may be causing the paper to crease it would indicate whether one of the rollers is causing the issue or not, you may have a roller that is needing to be replaced. If you haven't had your printer looked at by a technician in a while it may be time to get a maintenance cleaning done which would resolve your issue and also indicate if there is any major problems going on with your printer.

Kyocera 3900dn says paper jam in rear but no jam evident

Usually a printer doesn't lie when it indicates a paper jam, if you have checked as thoroughly as possible and no paper can be found. It is possible that the paper just isn't feeding and a printer will sometimes indicate a paper jam when paper doesn't feed. But if this isn't the case and a jam is indicated as soon as you turn the printer on, one of the plastic jam sensing actuators may be broken or hung up.

Very weird message! Pull down the by-pass tray in the front of the printer and insert a sheet of paper , then print.

Service code

This is a laser problem. The polygon motor probably got jammed usually it needs to be cleaned and oiled or the motor has ceased.
