Memory card I bought a 1GB memory card for my mju 400 recently. Since I have been using the new card, the camera has been very slow. Is there any conection between a large card and slow camera?

1. 2GB is a lot of space compared to 16MB. The camera checks the card each time you switch it on.
2. Card is corrupt & should be reformatted.
3. Card is defective & should be replaced.
A 4GB memory card will be an SDHC type. SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.
Sounds as if the memory card may be corrupted. In order to remove the write protect, make sure you have downloaded and saved all of the images from the memory card to your computer and then having the card in the camera you will need to run the format option and this will permanently remove the write protect as well as all of the images from the card.
The card should be able to be used again after the write protect is removed.
try to change the mega pixel rating and see,,,, did you format the memory card initially before using that brand new?? also see if the storage is set to memory card and not to the main memory
Hi I have bought a new memory card, Olympus XD M 1GB. For my Fuji fine
pix A330 camera, and I can't get it to initialise, or format properly,
can you help me many thanks TRENA
i think it's just 'cos of the sheer size of the memory it has to access.
mine works quite quickly but when i put in a 512 it takes a lot longer
i would not say there is anything wrong - just teh limitations of a device which was designed when even 128MB was a luxury
