If your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
you might have to uninstall then restart your computer then reinstall both the sound drivers and the sound card make sure you have both of these devices backed up to a disc before uninstalling
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver to do this
right click to install driver also
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select appropriate speakers also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable)
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer
hope this helps

P191w

Hello,

The Acer p191w uses the same power supply as the Viewsonic VX1962wm that your problem is a well known issues with that power supply. The filter capacitors go out and that causes the power supply to shut down within a few seconds. The monitor is easy to repair, you will just need to replace the bad capacitors on the power supply board. Here is a link to a repair guide for the Viewsonic VX1962wm and the information will be the same since the boards are the same in both units.

My name is Vincent and I have a Viewsonic VX1962Wm monitor and it doesn't work. Do I need a driver for it?

In most of the recent PC's the drivers are nott requried as the processor/memory supports.
So If your monitor does not comes ON on switch over then it is an hardware issue and needs to be checked.
If the monitor powers but does not come on there can be issues in the trigger circuit/monitor interface of the PC or in the monitor.

My viewsonic monitor has no sound. i can here a beep from the computer if i do something wrong but i cannot play anything on CD or U-tube

If the "error" beep is heard from the PC beeper, you have missing audio drivers in the operating system. Go to Control Panel, System properties, Hardware, Device Manager. Look for device marked with yellow question or exclamation mark. Use your motherboard driver CD to reinstall the drivers.
