As of now I cannot turn the power button back on because when the fan gets going the blades will be hitting something...Does anyone know what I could do? TIA

Often blower wheels are shipped with foam or cardboard to support them. Check to be sure all packaging material was removed. If it has been then the blower wheel will need to be positioned and balanced.

I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer. A few weeks ago when I turned on the air I could hear like a rattling in the fan. Now the air will run for a little while then slowly weeken until it just stops. What could...

It could be your aircon blower that's busted. I had the same issue with a 97 Lancer. It was the motor of the blower that was defective so I had it replaced. Never heard the rattling noise and the A/C works perfectly fine after the replacement.

HTH and good luck!

Brewing wrong cup size and sometimes will not brew at all

In Uk i would take it back to shop as faulty and get either replacement or full refund as it is not fit for purpose. Depends where you live and what consumer rights you have.

I installed a Nutone Bathroom Exaust fan/Light combo #8663RP at my home several years ago. It has worked fine until last week, when it started making a funny noise. I took out the motor/fan assembly and it...

Hello georod01,

Pretty simple problem and you have a few options.. first off.. If you take the fan/motor assembly out of the housing ( meaning : unplug the motor ... power off of course... and remove the sheetmetal screws that secure the mount that holds the fan/motor to the housing.....) You may have already done this... On some models, there is a set screw that secures the fan to the motor shaft.. you may be able to snug that up to stop the wobble... If the motor is OK and the fan is spinning but making contact with the housing.. It may not be centered in the housing so you may be able to better orient it..
If that fails to solve your problem, you can get a fan/motor assembly at home depot and either transfer it from the new bracket to the original ( if they are different).. or transfer just the fan blade onto the old motor... I think it costs about $8 - $12 for that and they are not usually easy to find but they do sell them...try the plumbing section...
As for suitability in an insulated area.. you should have no problems unless you put the wrong bulb size in the holder.. most of them have an over-temp cutoff sensor built in.. The fan motor is not much of a heat source... Hope that helps...

Fan started making noise

I have one of these, and every so often, the fan would start making a loud clicking noise. I discovered that if I shut the fridge off for a while and left the door open to defrost it, it'd work fine again for a while before the noise came back. Apparently, some ice was building up between the metal heat-sink and the fan, causing the fan blades to scrape against the ice/frost build-up and make the "tick, tick tick" noise.
There is no compressor in the Avanti EC15W-2 mini fridge. It uses a simple Peltier junction device to transfer heat from the inside of the fridge to the outside/rear of the unit. So it should never get very loud at all, unless one of the two fans in it is acting up in some way.

Zanussi Electrolux frost free fridge/freezer - freezer defrosting

My husband left the freezer door open a couple of months ago, causing ice to form. The loud rattling noise was the fan hitting the ice. The reason why the temperature started to rise but the noise stopped was because the fan had got stuck in a block of ice and was no longer working. Simple solution - defrost the freezer for 24 hours. Touch wood, it is all working fine now!

Ruud air conditioner unit

sounds like you have a fan blade out of balance or one that is bent which when the unit winds down it becomes out of balance use a straight edge across the blades to see if any are bent.

Lous Noise

It could be the blower fan is loose and needs to be tightened. If so, and you're handy, shouldn't be too difficult. Depends on the specific design.
