It honestly depends on the model. If the model is a dual movement model, there is usually a crown at the 3:00 and 9:00 positions on the case. You would want to:
1) Pull each crown out when the second hand is at 12:00, if there is no second hand, then the minute hand should be over the next 1-2 minutes for proper syncing.
2) go to: http://www.time.gov/ , select the proper time zone(s) that you would like to sync to.
3) Count down to the next minute time change, and simultaneously press in the crowns on both sides, engaging the hands to the movement.
