Hi.
On the drums for each colour there is a purple/blue/green slider for cleaning the corona wire. If there is a stripe of colour anywhere on the page going from top to bottom check these sliders. They need to be where the arrow on the slider meets the arrow on the drum casing.
As for low toner on the Yellow and Magent - Replace the cartridges.
Clean the Corona Wire carefully to remove any residue. As the charge on the wire is effectivley masked it cannot deposit any toner to the page and will result in a consistent white vertical stripe.
Is it clean? Most ink jet printers
have a simple user procedure for cleaning the print heads. You may
have to clean them periodically or after the printer has been idle for
a few days or weeks. If you see funny colors or print-outs are missing
colors, a cartridge may be empty or a head dirty. You may have to
clean a head many times to get it working again.
Open the top cover, lift up the PCU lever & remove the PCU. Rotate the carousel (Toner holder) by hand and check that all of the toner levers are locked down fully. Check if any of the toner levers are loose and possibly moving as the drum is rotated. There is a small clear plastic flap below each cartridge, it is possible that one is fitted incorrectly or even missing allowing toner to leak past and fall on to the laser lens thereby blocking the laser and causing these symptoms. Hope this helps.
Resolving white, light lines or streaks (eliminate light stripes)
From the printer, print the Troubleshooting Print Quality Pages.
With Troubleshooting highlighted, press the OK button. Scroll to Print Quality Problems by pressing the Up or Down Arrow button. Press OK.
Scroll to Troubleshooting Print Quality Page. Press OK. Evaluate the Light Stripes Test page for missing printhead jets (missing cyan, magenta, yellow or black color bars).
Clean the maintenance unit's wiper blade and empty the waste tray. A dirty maintenance drawer wiper blade can cause white lines and weak or missing printhead jets. Using a clean lint-free cloth or a paper coffee filter, gently clean the blade with a wiping motion across the entire length of the wiper blade.
1st. Print a report. If the blank stripes are still there, you must remove the drum and t6oner combination and clean the laser glass located on the bottom of the machine.
If the blank stripes do not appear, then the fault is on the scanner of the sending fax machine.
