Yes you could get the screen replaced, however the cost of this now-a-days is almost equal if not more expensive than purchasing a new TV. It is not always economical to have the screen replaced, it is maybe more worthwhile to think about buying a new one instead.

It can be fixed, but the cost is high and if it were me I would spend the money on a new set instead of repairing an old one. The screen for this runs around $525.00 for a used one, up to $900.00 for a new. Then you have a shop charge of aournd $100.00 and up for the labor.

I have the lg 47 lcd and i had the same problem for about 1-2 months ,but out of the blues the sound just got really louder ,i think the speakers broke in and it the sound normalized.But my tv sounds great now , my kids even asked me if i did something. Maybe just give it a little time.
