It depends on the remote. Some will handle combination TV/VCR/DVD units; others do not. The other issue is the age of the remote. Remote codes are limited to those for devices released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. Since it was listed at Amazon in Feb 2004; I'd recommend a remote programmed in 2005 or later.

The universal remotes that are programmed via a USB connection with a computer will be the easiest to program. I can't recommend a remote for you. I will recommend that you read the fine print for any given remote (the cheapest ones are most often not able to work with combination TV units).
