can you see the tv control menu for brightness, etc? if not, then the screen is dead. otherwise, unless you know how to inspect and replace electronic components such as capacitors, you may as well replace it.

My Answer to you> Sound..No Picture? First off...the device or appliance has two separate functions that do not totally unite with one another. True Picture and Sound need to be in Synchronization with each other; but each are independent form each other, as far as circuitry is concerned. Thus; you can have a perfect Picture (VIDEO) and no sound, or visa versa. If the VIDEO is not working, then problems with the video controller exist and this is related to the Picture Control function only. Circuit boards with electronic parts are assembled in a precise order with certain values and purposes. If for any reason one of these components fail the entire Video procedure goes crazy and does strange things. You cannot physically repair the board, and even professional technicians have difficulty doing so. Replacement is the only way to go, or purchase a whole new product.

Check and replace its main digital processor board.

A model number would help and also: no sound, no brightness etc.?
