My Whirlpool Auto Load Sensing With Triple Spray Technology Clothes Washer is starting every load with what seems to be a rinse cycle. Instead of hearing the normal fill, agitate, and fill at the beginning of the cycle it starts with agitating, a rinse, and draining sounds. I think what happened was I took a load out too soon the other day. I was in a hurry and I thought that the cycle was finished and I removed the clothes. When in actuality it still had the extra rise to run. After that interrupted wash it now begins all cycles with what seems to be a rinse cycle. How do I reset my washer so it goes back to washing properly? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Pull the power cord or reset the breaker, count to 10 and repower.
It is a computer. Reboot it.

SOURCE: My Whirlpool Auto Load Sensing

Hi

To reset the Whirlpool washer turn off and unplug it, restart the washer after 30-40 minutes and check if the washer is reset. Let me know if you get any error code after restarting the washer. If no error code appears then the issue can be due to faulty door switch, remove the top cover of the washer and check the connections to the door switch. Hope this helps... Please post back with complete model# if you need more information.

Whirlpool Calypso Washer Mdl#30942 gets stuck during rinse cycle. Machine runs, then stops, but does not rinse completely. Last 35-38 min cycle is problematic. What is wrong and how to fix it?

It's hard to tell by your description of the problem, but it sounds like it could be the timer If it's not running while in spin mode, or as simple as a belt if it's running and not spinning fast enough.

My washer wont rinse. It seems to have a hard time spinning, any suggestions?

do you hear the motor running ,it will drain but no spin, this has no belt in it it's built just like a whirlpool washer because whirlpool owns maytag now and this washer has a motor coupling,i would check this first,do you know if the agitator is working or do you hear a grinding noise when it's running?watch this video and you don't have to disconnect the wire harness to the motor if you don't want to,i don't just put motor off to right side still connected

Whirlpool W10140920 agitates with no water in the tub

I've had the same problem..3 times in 2 years.
EVERY time I needed to relpace the switch sensor (behind the water temp knob.) It fixes the problem, but continues to happen. I am going to get a new NON Whirlpool washer today.

Washer starts agitation during water fill up and after spin cycle ends washer fills back with water and leaves clothes very wet.

I also have a Whirlpool top load Model # WtW57ESVW auto sensing load washer. I have it it almost a year and it has started to do exactly the same as described above. The repairman said today that it needed a "auto load sensing switch" which he has ordered for me.

Note - you can use your washer until the problem is fixed, but you have to make sure you manually stop the spin cycle prior to it just finishing, for that is the time period that the water starts to fill again.

I also noted that my local Lowes store does NOT sell this model anymore - probably too many customer complaints about this exact same problem. As soon as I showed the problem to the repairman this AM, he immediately diagnosed the issue - said that it was a recurring issue with this particular model.

Loud banging noise during rinse

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the rinse or spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary. This will solve your problem.

Ultimate Care II - Rinse Cycle does not start

sounds like a lid switch problem. is there a clicking noise when you open and close the lid?
if not then the lid switch may need to be replaced; inexpensive.
this could also be caused by a bad timer.
also try a different speed for the rinse cycle, it may be a bad motor and it is not going into a certain speed. instead of gentle or slow speed try fast or normal, something like that.
