It's not the PCU (photoCONDUCTOR unit), It's either a thermistor or blown out heater lamp in the fuser. Call a tech. The code can only be reset in service mode
There is no SC514 on an AP410N. Do you mean SC541? SC541 is a fuser code that a technician has to reset. It could be something as simple as a power spike, or it could be a dirty sensor or a blown board.
Clean the fuser thermistors. For reset enter in the service mode : press total clear (yellow)key-107-clear(red)key,touch SP mode, open the front door and turn OFF the power switch.Unplugged the machine, wait 10 sec.,plugged the cords, close the front door amd turn ON the power switch.
For the Aficio 1018. SC-320 is laser failure - the polygon mirror motor inside the laser has failed and needs replacing. You will need to contact your nearest service agent for repair.
For your RICOH Aficio 1013F - SC-551 is overheat in standby mode as far as I can tell. The circuitry that controls the fuser section ie manages the heat has problem. Unless its right near a source of heat like a heater or has no circulation around you machine you will need contact a repair agent for this machine also.
Ok, its a firmware bug, but you should be able to reset it. Press clear modes, 1, 0, 7, and press and hold clear/stop. Press 1 for copy sp. Scroll down to 7, (data log) press 7. scroll to 7807, and reset it. exit all the way out, and recycle the power.
