This panasonic pt52lcx65-k has colored spots in fixed positions on the screen, a pink one about 2" in diameter just above the middle of the screen and 4 blue spots about the same size closer to the outside edges. if there's a pure blue screen from a vcr that's not tuned to a channel you can see that the blue spots look like brighter spots on what should be an even blue color across the screen
Coloue spots on screen. how do you fix with screwdriver?
Good day, lon r;
The solution is simple and not very costly. It concerns all these models. If you own a screwdriver you can do this in 30 minutes:
PANASONIC:
MODELS: PT-44LCX65, PT52LCX15, PT-52LCX65, PT-52LCX35, PT-61LCX65,
PT-61LCX35.
SYMPTOMS: 1. FUZZY SPOTS
2. FUZZY SPOTS
3. FUZZY SPOTS WITH STAINS
4. FUZZY SPOTS & UPSIDE DOWN
5. FUZZY SPOTS WITH LINES
CORRECTION: SYMPTOMS CAN BE CORRECTED BY EEPROM
CORRECTION TOOL; (LSUQ0100).
Good luck, big IRISH.

Call Panasonic they are offering a one time fix on certain models. They just sent a technician to my house at no charge and it is fixed. Mine was a PT-52lcx65. It was corrected by EEPROM.
