My panasonic hdtv pt-47WX53G tele does the exact same thing TV will not turn on, power light comes on then blinks three times, and repeats. Will do the fix suggested and if there is trouble will post new, called a couple of tv repair shops and told them the symptoms and one told me he would have to replace the power supply for a mere $400 dollars I quickly hung up. Hi, 3 times LED blinks in Panasonic PT-47WX42 shows problem with convergence out chips failure as this tv has two big black ICs STK392-110 as convergence output, replace them to fix tv problem. Click Part Store to see an image of required chip and price info. Local tv tech is recommended if you have no experience of working in tv circuit boards. Thanks.
If the front power light is blinking three times then your TV has a problem with the convergence. You can get the correct replacement parts and full step by step photo instructions from www.TvRepairKits.com
How many times is it blinking? That is probably blinking a code because its shutting down. Let me know how many blinks its blinking and I will be able to tell you whats wrong with your TV
Yes, I did try to use the power button on the TV itself. That did not work too. Yes, there is blinking red light too. I searched through several sights and found out that it is an issue with the IC 4511. I could not find a place to buy the chip.
By the way, our local TV dealer asked for $400 to fix this issue. I had
already spent $400 on a different repair on this TV, 6 months ago.
