Hi there recently my washing machine doesn't drain and the repair man found a hairpin inside My question was that the hairpin could have been there earlier or only when I was washing the laundry is it

I would say it is far more likely that the hairpin either got in by accident with something YOU put in the machine. It does not take long for such an item to find its way to the pump and jam it.
One could also question as to whether the repairman just told you he found the hairpin to validate having to do the repair he needed to do. Unless you personally saw the pump opened and the pin taken from it.......?
Surely the important thing is that it is now fixed and operational.........no point in "crying over spilt milk" as they say..........

The washing machine started making a grinding noise during wash cycle (minor) and a much louder grinding noise during the spin cycle. Is this a bearing? and is it replacable? Maytag MAV7600

sounds like a bearing... although it could be the water pump... water pump is an easy fix... bearing is not an easy fix... take the belt off the bottom of the pump (under the machine) and see if it spins freely by turning it w/ your hand... or if it seems really stiff... if it looks good then it's def. your bearing...

Squealing on the start of spin cycle

the gear case may be bone dry, i would check this. make sure everything is aligned as well. if there is a belt, check to make sure it is tight and not too lose. i suspect that the repairman has done a horrible job.

Maytag washer top load

good guess...is the washer balanced? That can make the spin cycle work ineffectively.

Maytag MAV7600 - loud noise on spin cycle

It's more likely something caught in the pump or bad pump. Remove the belt under the machine and check the pump pulley for noise.

Wont complete final spin and drain

Ok you need another repair man this is a simple timer problem since you said dial I take it as timer machine if so it has a dead spot in that cycle. although if it is a electronic control replace the control board and this will be the cure good luck and Merry Christmas

MAyatg MAV7600 BGN Top Load Washer Problem

The screeching sound could be the drain pump or something stuck between the bowls. Try turning the inner bowl by hand and listen for the noise. There should be a position on the timer, just before the spin, that allows the machine to drain before it starts to spin. Try to find the right spot and listen for the noise when only the drain pump is running. Good Luck.
