How can i rest the lenovo bios password of model g 400

Type administrator and leave the password blank ,this should work
And press enter / return key

Turn the Lenovo computer off. Leave the computer off for at least five seconds.

2 Press and hold down the "F1" key. Turn the computer on.

3 Release the "F1" key when the BIOS screen appears.

4 Type the current BIOS password into the password field.

5 Click the "Password" button. Select the "Supervisor" icon.

6 Type the current BIOS password into its field. Press the spacebar.

7 Press "Enter" on the blank password box. Press "Enter" on the verification screen. The BIOS password is removed.

8 Click the "Save and Exit" icon.

Hello,Power off and then power back on, when booting press f1 and will take you too bios setting you can change password there and then save and exit.

Depending on Make and Model if you remove the Battery from the motherboard for 20-30 seconds to be safe, it will reset the board and release any BIOS password and restore it to factory default. This doesn't always work especially on Lenovo laptops you would have to contact IBM/Lenovo

restart the laptop HOLD the keys fn+f1 or f2 depend of your model, mark, and enter the BIOS setup, and make the restore password as indicated in the BIOS page.

If you or some one already given the bios password. It can not be reset the bios remove the cmos battery.There is another solution for reset the bios.
But it will be solve for few models.

Sorry to say you it will be damage.Because there are no solution for lenovo,because it s the BACKDOOR PASSWORD.

Hi, If you are talking about the Boot, HDD, Bios password, then the only one way to recover it is to implement a chip on the systemboard to shorcut the protection or to contact Lenovo for a systemboard replacement. Unfortunalty, no other ways other round. Thanks and have a nice day J-

download and burn "hirens bootcd" then boot from it and look for menu entries re bios, try restting it but be wary of using this very powerful suite of programs if you get it wrong you could lose everything.
