SOURCE: xerox printer error code (04,025.46)

This is a print head position issue.

TRY FIRST (Solutions without parts):
1. Check that the wipe mechanism has homed. 2. Check the printhead position and verify that it has initialized properly / manually home the printhead and power cycle the printers power and check for the error to return. If not then the error was most likely due to non-process function (something out of sequence).
Part likely to be the cause:
GEARBOX AND MOTOR,PROCESS DRIVE - PL 4.0, Item 14.

SOURCE: Xerox Phaser 8400 getting error -- Service Needed 37,002.47:72864

The technical error message means:
The Printhead Left jetstack heater is not drawing the expected power from the power supply.

Possible solutions:
1) Make sure the AC plug is plugged into the wall and not a UPS or surge protector. Other things such as another printer, coffee maker or other electrical devices on the same circuit could cause a sag in AC demand from the Phaser, causing it to fail it's PEST (Print Engine Self Test).

2) Verify that the wall outlet's circuit is capable of delivering the correct amount of current to the Phaser, if it does, check how many other electrical devices (aka a desklamp, radio, etc.) are on the circuit.

3) If it's out of warranty, reseat the cables from the Printhead to the Electronics Module. If it's in warranty, place a service call on the unit.

Yep. The drum heaters are burnt out.
There are 2,,, 150 watt Halogen lamps that heat the drum.
The way to see if they are working or not is to turn off the lights in the office or room the printer is in. Turn the machine on and look through the fan slots on the right side of the machine. GIve it a minute or two and you should see lamps glowing inside, ( I seriously doubt you will see them comming on).
That is a very common problem, You can purchase those lamps at Lowes, Home Depot or anywhere you can purchase halogen lamps. They cost about 12 dollars for a good pair.
Replace both .. If you want to try and do it yourself. Let me know I will send you directions.

SOURCE: Xerox Phaser 8560 - error code 09 037 45 108564

Hi there

That's a ink loader error, due to the 8200 ink stick; to fix it:

- Power down the printer.
- Hold the back button and the info button at the same time, without letting go, power up the printer.
- Keep holding down the buttons until the XEROX logo comes fully to the center of the screen, keep holding for 2 more seconds, then let go. I'll take about a minute or two for the Diagnostic screen to come up, the display will turn blank and black.
- When the Diagnostic screen comes up go to down to the Function or Exercise option, there will be an option that says "clear ISC faults" it'll ask you to press OK to confirm, after you do then you will exit Diagnostics and the printer will reboot.
It should be fine until it happens again. Until all the 8200 ink is gone you will probably be doing this a few more times. Also make sure the 8200 ink is not jammed inside the ink loader, if it is then you have to un-jam it some how.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Xerox Phaser 4500 printer has a U4 fuser code.

Hi,

From the Xerox Phaser 4500 Service Manual (here), the main problems could be one of:

  • Warm-up failure - Fuser warm-up not complete within 110 seconds after
  • starting.
  • Cool-down error - Cool-down process not complete within 200 seconds.
  • Low trouble temperature - The fuser temperature drops to the low trouble
  • temperature (approximately current control temperature, minus
  • approximately 25°C).
  • High trouble temperature - The fuser temperature rises to the high trouble
  • temperature (approximately current control temperature, plus
  • approximately 35°C).
  • STS circuit open
  • STS failure - The heat rod remains on for at least 10 seconds after warm-
  • up has completed

It could be that your fuser needs to be replaced, but as you can see that code relates to a couple of problems, so even replacing the Fuser might not fix the problem.

If it doesn't even do the warm up checks it is likely to be the fuser because the other components such as STS failure and cooldown won't have had a chance to run..

What is the Xerox Phaser 8400 printer error code 07.010.43:43923? Much appreciated. Thank you.

Try this:

The printer has encountered an error state without the benefit of a code. Turn the printer off for 30 seconds, then power back on.
If the Printer Error message returns, press the i button on the printer's front panel. The actual error or fault number should be displayed. Note the error or message and search the knowledge base for the error.

Also:

Based on the problem description provided, we have determined that your printer needs service.
Please turn your printer off and use one of the methods below to make arrangements for service:
If using the local service provider website, please perform the following steps:

  1. Enter your zip code in the space provided.

  2. Choose a mileage distance. The search will locate a Service Provider within the specified range if available.

  3. Click Go. The web site will return a list of Authorized Service Providers (ASP) with their company name, address, phone number, and fax number.

Please help. The device prints once and then stops printing until restarted. This process continues between every print job. The message printed out from the printer is as follows: ERROR:...

This is a corrupted Postscript error.
Possible solutions are, reload up to date driver and/or firmware. Go to Xerox website address below for drivers and firmware.
http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-4500/downloads/engb.html?operatingSystem=winxp&fileLanguage=en_GB
This could also be a program specific problem, try printing from another software package.
Finally, you could try an NVRAM reset. Go to 'Troubleshooting', 'Service Tools', 'Reset NVRAM'. WARNING, before performing an NVRAM reset, print out a configuration page. 'Information', 'Information Pages', 'Configuration Page'. This print out will give you all the printers settings, including your network settings, which will be lost through the reset. You will need to re input them through 'Printer Setup', 'Connection Setup', 'TCPIP'.
Hope this helps.

Fan Failure Error 54

1 of 2 things.
You need to clean or replace the fan.
You have to remove the back, right side and top cover to access that fan.It is near the back just behind the fuser module.
It could also be the low voltage power supply fan. Most likely the fuser fan.
Once you remove the fan, there is a label on it, remove the label, There is a rubber plug behind the label, remove the plug and drip some lubricant into the fan. Reassembly and it should be ok.
I would recommend replacing the defective fan though.
Here is a very reliable part source.
https://www.partsdrop.com/store/

If you call ask for Britt and specify the model number and that you need a fuser fan and probably order a Power supply fan, Neither are very expensive.
Have both on hand to be 100 percent sure the problem is resolved, But its a 90 percent fuser fan failure code. It operated in a heated area and can dry out faster.

Phaser 860 error code 07.003.45:116163

It is a print head tilt error.
Most likely ink is in the stainless steel pivot block at the bottom of the print head.
Also the printer could have been unplugged and the cleaning blade is stuck to the print head.
Or a cable is binding the print head movement.
