My washer is working until it hits the spin cycle. It won't pump the water out, but makes a clicking noise when it tries.Is there a way to get to the pump to find out if it's bad?

Going give the same answer as last post I just responded to;

See my post Clutch Fix but I recommend you go to real DIY forum.

I can't find most of my repair post in this forum. This forum to me is a "Call In a repair tech forum" for this model and that is OK if you can't do basic DIY repairs.

I don't want to put in a direct link to the washer repair forum of my choice so put in your browser this phrase;

Appliance Repair Forums > Appliance Repair Talk > Washers > Maytag/Magic Chef/Admiral/Jenn-Air

This is a true DIY Appliance repair forum.

In the Sticky: Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW 5 post down you will find a link to the Service Manual. You absolutely need the Service Manual to DIY issues with the machine. It's not the best SM but will get you started. I also have repair post in that sticky to help with the most common issues with the machine.

If you need help open a post in that repair forum and I will try help you through your issue.

What is causing my Kenmore top washer to make a grinding noise before the rinse cycle?

Have you replaced the clutch or spin tube? There is a brake actuator that comes with the clutch kit and if this is broken it can make a very loud grinding or clacking sound.

I have the ATR6700FS1 front load washer. It goes fine until the spin cycle. It pauses & when I hit restart it makes a noise & doesn't spin. If I hit cancel & go to the spin cycle it

Hello Deanna Lytle - Often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

Frigidaire Washer/Dryer Combo FEX831CS0 won't work

Hello Laura Clark - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, you possibly have a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Try setting the cycle to spin only and verify if water pumps out. If it does not, the unit could possibly be experiencing an issue with the pump, door lock assembly or timer. Since it is such a complex unit, I suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately

Frigidaire GLTF2940ES0 won't pump or spin

Sounds like a water valve solenoid. The hot and cold water is controlled by solenoids that open and close. Try running just the hot and just the cold. If one or the other works, then the proble,m is a bad solenoid valve

WILL NOT CYCLE FROM WASH TO RINSE

You have to check your filter for any block. Then put in some water & try to spin it out; if the water does not flow out easily you have to look into your pump, could be a block in there. Refer to user's manual.
