To calibrate the StreetPilot c-Series touchscreen, follow these steps: Begin with the device turned off and unplugged from a power source Power the device on and continue to hold the power button for 1 minute Release the power button when the screen displays "Press Dot" Accurately touch the dots as they appear The dots will change location A stylus or pencil eraser may be used to accurately touch the dots Touch OK when the "Calibration Complete" appears The touchscreen is now calibrated.
try to re-calibrate it ,if it doesnt work ,save the important data from the phone to an external memory then reset the phone by activating the factory reset system.
Sounds like the calibration for the touchscreen needs to be reset. If you check in the control panel, there should be a ELO shortcut that allows you to calibrate/test the touchscreen. Try running through the calibration and see if the touchscreen behavior improves. If the calibration doesn't fix it, then you may have an issue with the touchscreen itself.
If the touch screen does not work, it may be because it is out of calibration. You can go into settings and navigate using the buttons to recalibrate the touchscreen. Slide the on/off slider briefly. It should give you a menu. Use the - button to scroll down to calibrate. Push the M button This gives the calibration screen. Press the small square that appears in each corner, and finally in the center. This should give you the touch screen, hopefully working.
try factory resetting the phone, as calibration doesnt work, if this doesnt help the problem you will need to replace the touchscreen, expect to pay £25-£35 at a decent repair shop
Alright, i know this is old, but i hope i can help those guys/gals, i recently bought the phone and i had this problem too, i dont know if it will work, but its worth a try, when i tried everything, i started losing hope, but i tried knocking the phone on something soft like a towel or the bed mattress, then it works wonderously, and i heard some people accidentally dropped their phone on the ground etc, and it works like normal again... although i would never recommend dropping the phone on hard surfaces, just try knocking on your bed mattress (do not EVER knock on the metal area, im not responsible for any damages), or put a towel on your lap and knock it few times with the screen face down (of course, just knock slowly, dont put too much pressure...) hope this helps!, and sorry for the long phrase of boringness!
Your touchscreen is defective. Please contact Panasonic official
service center http://heartlandsi.com to arrange a repair. It's covered
under warranty.
have you tried reswtting it to factory settings. make sure there is nothing putting pressure on the touch screen. If this soesnt work you may have to replace your touch screen. mysciphoneshop.com offers replacements, but they have to be soldered in be careful if you decide to do this.
